EXAMINATION
SYSTEM
Principal & H.M. Giving prizes to students done well in academics For Classes I and II 1. There is no formal Examination for classes I and II. The teacher will evaluate the students through continuous and comprehensive evaluation (C.C.E.). The testing can be done simultaneously while teaching or separately. 2. Most of the time students will not be aware that they are being tested. 3. There will be minimum 8 cycles of C.C.E. 4. One cycle of C.C.E. means that all the students of the class are tested in all the competencies. 5. They should obtain at least ‘D’ grade. If a child get ‘E’ grade in some competencies the teacher should repeat the cycle. Competencies Subject wise A) Languages :- (Hindi, English) i) Listening ii) Speaking iii) Reading comprehension iv) Writing v) Spelling vi) Hand writing B) Math's :- 1) Forming Numbers Correctly 2) Understanding Basic Concept 3) Ability in Computation 4) Problem Solving Ability C) Environmental studies 1. Observation 2. Identification 3. Discovering facts 4. Group activity 6. Evaluation will be done on the formats for C.C.E. sheet for each child separately. 7. There is NO MARKING SYSTEM in Primary Section GRADES are awared instead of marks according to the performance of the child Allotment of grades A - Excellent B - V. Good C - Good D - Average E - Needs Guidance Note :- The Evaluation has been made in grades only on five point scale i.e. A,B,C,D & E. These grades cannot be translated into marks. For Classes III, IV, V1. There will be Three Unit tests along with Projects and assignment in every term. 2. One half-yearly Exam will be taken in the Month of November. 3/4 portion of the whole syllabus should be taken up to this Exam. 3. One session Ending Exam will be taken in the month of March. In this Exam whole syllabus has to be taken up. Different ways of assessing students Question Paper were set class-wise according to the design of paper given by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. Design of paper will be according to subject and competency wise for each test. Evaluation will also be done according to the design of paper given. Written Examination that we conduct in our Vidyalaya is not the only method to assess the child. The child can be tested by different modes of assessments for Examples Oral Testing - for skills like listening, speaking Written Work - Performance Test Projects Observation Group work Home assignment Scrap books Class presentation and Participation Psychological tests Comprehensive tests Diagnostic tests Personality tests
